Volunteer

To lend a hand to someone in need leaves us with a feeling of warmth and goodness. Right now is a good time to reach out and lend a hand. We are in need of volunteers. We are in our seasonal cleanup and fix up period. We have need of labors who can help to repair and mend fences, clean upMeet Pam York, our abuse inspector debris left by storms and winter damage. We need new pasture shelters and equipment repairs.
  • Horse Trailers and designated drivers at pickup points.
  • Temporary Shelters until horses can be transported to our shelter.
  • Veterinarians willing to administer care if needed at pickup points.
  • Caregivers willing to help until transportation can be made to Hugs.

  • Volunteer or discounted Veterinarian Services.
  • Volunteer or discounted Farrier Services.
  • Foster Homes for short periods at no charge.
  • Morning and Night Feeders.
  • Stall Cleaners and Barn Keepers

If you find it in your heart and you have the time please contact us to set up an appointment to come by take a look and offer that helping hand. I promise you that you will not regret it. Our volunteers start as young as 9 and as old as they get.

For existing volunteers we have come up with a unique way for you to keep in touch with us on the fly. A volunteers only area where you can come and check schedules, change your volunteer time, communicate with other hugs volunteers, get updates and more.

The following are forms that can be printed out and brought with you when you come in to volunteer. They have to be on file for all new volunteers. By bringing them with you upon arrival you will be saving us a lot of time.
